Many thanks to Lukas for being such a great host and the rest of the team for all their help. Prices were good, instructors were excellent and the team really cares. We had both kids and adults take lessons or just hire boards and we saw many other happy customers over the days we were there.

Had an amazing lesson today! 6 of us went together and we had never surfed before but by the end we could all stand up! It was a great lesson and the staff were so friendly and helpful! They even took videos of all of us surfing from the beach too! Thank you so much guys!!!

Great service for renting a board. Looked like good lessons being done too. Service with a smile. Whilst we only needed board rent they let us have use of the covered sunbed whilst my son surfed.

This is my 2nd time surfing with Lucky’s Surf School. Nipuna, Shantha, and Janaka are well qualified and super attentive instructors. They provide their best service regardless of you being a local or foreign traveler. This is the go to place in Weligama for surfing lessons! 🏄♂️🌊✌🏻

I highly recommend Lucky Surfschool! I had 3 amazing lessons at this surfschool, all three with Shantha. The lessons started on the beach with some theory on the surfing techniques that we would focus on that day (aligned with what we had done in the lesson before). After that we went in the water for +/- 1 hour and 15 minutes. Shantha was very patient, kind, continuously looking for good waves and coaching me. He was also looking out for me, so that other surfers wouldn’t hit me (because sometimes it could be quite busy on the water). Lucky sufschool offers high quality surflessons with kind, patient and experienced surf instructors for a good price!

It was my first try at surfing, a friend of mine recommended Lucy's surf school and it was absolutely amazing, Shantha was so helpful and so patient, walked me through all steps and taught me so well that I could have a proper surfing experience on the first day it self. I came back the second day for another lesson too. All of Luck's team was absolutely amazing, did a fabulous job, they weren't concerned about the time or the money their intentions were helping us to have a nice time surfing. Highly recommend them.

Lucky's made my very first surfing experience absolutely unforgettable. I went to weligama with three friends, one of them British. All four of us were treated very well and really well taken care of. Our surf lessons were with Santha, Janaka and Sandaru, who were all extremely attentive, patient and very encouraging. They were all so invested in our success. Everybody there had a perfect mix of being professional but also friendly and inclusive with a lot of joking around. My friend Leila, who has been surfing before in England and France, said that these surf lessons with these instructors were her best experience so far, and she even managed to progress to the next stage with such attentive instructors! 10/10 would recommend to anybody visiting weligama, and 100% planning on heading back there whenever i get the chance. They made it feel like so much more than just 1.5 hour long surf lessons. Santha even demonstrated some very cool self defense moves for us! Never thought I'd miss people I only spent two days with. Well worth the money spent!
